Sentry. With combination of abstract shapes, this sculpture resembles the figure of a sentry. Ramesh was able to express the sense of being watched by creating this piece.
Set of Drums. One of most unique pieces that defined the originality of Ramesh, this sculpture creates sound when slapped. This was influenced by Indian temples Ramesh had frequently seen while growing up.
Mechanic. This sculpture is a creative version of a mundane mechanic’s tool.
God Tirupati. Neatly carved, away from the pomp and show, the sculpture depicts the simplicity and reverence Ramesh had in the almighty.
Family. Carved in 1983, the sculpture Family is a combination of four beautifully carved marble stones placed on a pedestal. The order in which the stones are arranged expresses hierarchy present in a family structure.
Sleeping Beauty. Carved in pink marble, the sculpture represents the beauty of a maiden in the fairy tale of the same title by Charles Perrault.
Leader. Carved in a light pink marble, the leader here is not placed on any pedestal.
Damsel. This shows the subtle differences in Ramesh’s carving that can create an entirely different meaning and image. The delicate curves and shapes showcases femininity and intricacy a damsel may possess.
Basin. This sculpture is considered among the finest pieces carved by Ramesh. Ramesh delicately carved perfect, hollow curves on the surface of a finely cut slab. If laid flat, the hollow curves can catch water that would remind us of a basin.
Together. The sculpture symbolizes the concept of togetherness. The small hole in the middle creates an image of two separate objects, bounded to one.
Garden Ear. With bold and straight edges, Ramesh recreated the image of an ear in his own linear style. Through this sculpture, he gently reminds us of listening to the sounds around us.
