Awards

Ramesh Pateria continued mastering his craft throughout the years and kept the spectators awed in every show. One of most eminent sculptors, his mastery in the art earned him many national and state awards.

Among the awards Ramesh received for his work was the prestigious National Award by Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi in 1969. He was later awarded by Madhya Pradesh Government with Shikhar Award in 1982-83. These awards gave him deserved recognition and casted him in the elite list of sculptors in the country. Along with these major awards, he also bagged awards at Gujarat State Exhibition, Kalidas Art Exhibition and Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad, Ujjain.

Moreover, the beauty of his work can be found reputed places for showcasing of his sculptures across the country. Sculptures by Ramesh Pateria can be found in the National Gallery of Modern Art, Lalit Kala Academi, and in the eminent galleries of different states.

Ramesh was also featured in a book on Indian Sculptures Today by Ram Chatterji that was published by Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
